Description

Specialist allied health and behaviour support services for NSW Public Schools.

Scope

The Specialist Allied Health and Behaviour Support Provider Scheme is seeking suppliers to gain pre-qualification to provide the following services:

·       Exercise physiology 

·       Occupational Therapy 

·       Physiotherapy 

·       Speech Pathology

·       Behaviour Practitioner

Instructions

The Specialist Allied Health and Behaviour Support Provider Scheme is seeking suppliers to gain pre-qualification to provide the following services:

  • Exercise physiology 
  • Occupational Therapy 
  • Physiotherapy 
  • Speech Pathology
  • Behaviour Practitioner

When completing an application for this scheme suppliers are required to demonstrate their capability to meet requirements by: 

  1. Demonstrating you meet the mandatory requirements and provide all required supporting documentation
  • Evidence of required insurance levels or confirmation that these will be obtained if successful
    Professional Indemnity Insurance - $2m
    Public Liability Insurance - $20m
    Workers Compensation Insurance
  • Confirmation that all practitioners are registered with relevant professional association accrediations.
  • Complies with the requirements of the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 (NSW)
  • All personnel in child-related roles have a valid working with children check
  • Prior to commencement, all relevant staff will complete mandatory child protection training
  • Agreement to conduct health related training if and when required

2. Ensure you address all the required capability questions and demonstrate your supplier’s capacity

Professional association accreditations * (required)

Are all practitioners in your organisation registered with relevant professional association accreditations?  Therapists must meet the following requirements relevant to their profession:

  • exercise physiologists are to be accredited with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
  • physiotherapists, psychologists, and occupational therapists are to be unconditionally registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • speech pathologists are to be members of Speech Pathology Australia.

Note: The Department of Education and/or NSW public schools will need to verify Working With Children Check clearance for individual personnel for school entry. Photo identification is required for this purpose.

Mandatory child protection training * (required)

Do you certify that, prior to commencement of services, all relevant staff will have successfully completed the department’s Mandatory Child Protection Training online (via MyPL) or a suitable alternative child protection training program delivered by the service provider for its staff?

Note: NSW public schools may require evidence of completion before services begin. This training is required to be completed on an annual basis.

For particular students or groups of students or environments, individual schools may require staff to undertake health related training such as anaphylaxis e-training or CPR training before services begin.   • contract duration, including the start & end date of the work.

The Evaluation Team may contact the clients as referees to assist in evaluating responses.
