The supply of Geospatial Flood Datasets for use by TfNSW in flood management solutions

Overview

Project goals

Near real-time flood forecasting and high-resolution inundation mapping for critical support with emergency flood forecasting. The product ideally uses advanced technology and should be able to leverage big data analytics and machine learning to deliver precise, property-level flood impact data. This will allow TfNSW to efficiently coordinate evacuations, protect infrastructure, and minimise disruptions, ensuring compliance with regulatory and other requirements.

Scope

This RFP seeks to secure a solution capable of delivering near real-time geospatial flood data, covering past, current, and forecasted events. The successful proponent will provide a seamlessly integrated system, delivering accurate and timely data to support effective flood management across the Prepare, Prevent, Respond, and Recover (PPRR) phases of the emergency and crisis management lifecycle.
