Project goals
This Request for Quote (RFQ) is issued by the Crown in right of the State of New South Wales acting through the NSW Department of Customer Service (DCS) (the Principal).
This RFT BRD/27647 seeks quotations from suitably qualified supplier(s) to supply to the Principal the Goods/Services described in the Statement of Requirements (Attachment 1) in these RFT Conditions and Statement of Requirements.
Long Service Corporation is part of DCS, which supports sustainable government finances, major public works and maintenance programs, government procurement, information and communications technology, corporate and shared services, consumer protection, administration of State taxation and revenue collection, and NSW land and property administration.
DCS is comprised of several entities, divisions and business units:
· Divisions include: Office of the Secretary, Fair Trading, Corporate Services, Digital NSW, Revenue NSW, Customer, Delivery and Transformation, Service NSW and State Insurance Regulatory Authority.
· Entities include: Greyhound Welfare and Integrity Commission, Independent Pricing & Regulatory Tribunal, Information and Privacy Commission, Workers Compensation Commission and Workers Compensation Independent Review Officer.
Scope
The Long Service Corporation is a statutory authority in New South Wales that administers portable long service schemes for specific transient industries in NSW. The Corporation was reconstituted in 2010 by the Long Service Corporation Act 2010, to enable it to administer two schemes under the Building and Construction Industry Long Service Payments Act 1986 and the Contract Cleaning Industry (Portable Long Service Leave Scheme) Act 2010.
The Corporation earns its revenue to fund the schemes through:
· a 0.25 percent levy on the cost of prescribed building and construction work in New South Wales;
· an employer levy of 1% of the ordinary wages of contract cleaning industry workers in NSW;
· investment earnings on scheme funds.
