Overview

We have changed how you find and respond to NSW Government supply opportunities. Integrated with your Supplier Hub profile the new buy NSW Tenders module simplifies and streamlines the tendering process and allows you to collaborate across your organisation on responses.

From 1 July all new, open NSW Government opportunities will be published on the new module. This means that you access and respond to tenders from your Supplier Hub dashboard. Our new Tenders module not only streamlines the tender response process but is also more secure and aligns with other NSW Government websites and digital services.

Information for suppliers

We are replacing the eTendering module with a more updated and secure service. Tenders are now integrated with buy NSW and your Supplier Hub profile, simplifying and streamlining the tender process, improving security and delivering a consistent experience.

Benefits of the new module

The new module allows you to:

  • Respond to a tender using an online form from your own Tenders dashboard
  • Save and return to your response as often as needed before it closes
  • Collaborate with team members on responses
  • Attach supporting documents from your Document Library
  • See at a glance, all of your current tender responses and any related notifications on your Tenders dashboard
  • Have a private Q&A with the opportunity owner and have it recorded on your dashboard, so you no longer have to trawl through emails
  • We are standardising the closing time for all opportunities to 3pm, so that you have time to get support from our Customer Contact Team

New standardised close time

There is a new standardised closing time of 3pm for all new opportunities. We have done this in order to:

  1. make it easier for you to plan your responses, regardless of which department or agency the opportunity comes from
  2. give you time to get support during business hours

How this impacts you

You don't need to do anything.

The way you look for opportunities on the Opportunities Hub remains the same. After 1 July, when new opportunities are published, you'll be able to respond to the tender from your buy NSW Account. There will be a new tile on your Supplier Hub dashboard.

You will still access and use eTendering to respond to or manage a submitted response for any opportunities that were published before 26 June.

Information for buyers

Tenders is a module that is integrated with buy NSW and Supplier Hub profiles, providing buyers and suppliers with a more secure and streamlined way to do business.

eTendering and tenders will run in parallel

From 1 July, all new opportunities (tenders) will be created in the new buy NSW Tenders module.

Any tenders that were published on or before 26 June, will continue to be managed and finalised in eTendering.

All disclosures will continue to be published in eTendering. Work is currently underway for a replacement disclosures module in the coming months.

Impacts to procurement teams

All registered eTendering users have been receiving communications and attending training and briefing sessions about the coming changes.

Only eTendering users with a buy NSW account and publishing permissions will have access for the time being.

All users of the Tenders module need to be registered on the buy NSW website - this is different to your eTendering registration. Registration is quick and easy: https://buy.nsw.gov.au/login/signup.

eTendering is being decommissioned

Tenders published before 1 July will continue to be managed on eTendering.

Impacts for suppliers

  • Nothing will change in how you search for opportunities (tenders). These will remain on the Opportunities Hub.
  • Clicking on a tender in Opportunities Hub will still direct you to the eTendering website, for those tenders published before 30 June.
  • Any open tenders on eTendering during the go-live period will remain there and be finalised on that platform.
  • All new opportunities published after 1 July will be accessible to you on the new Tenders module.

Impacts for buyers

  • All tenders published prior to 30 June will continue to be managed and finalised in eTendering.
  • All disclosures will continue to be done in eTendering.
  • A new disclosures module is currently being developed and will be released in the near future.
  • From 1 July, all new tenders (opportunities) will be created in the new Tenders module.
