Project goals
The Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) intends to publish an EOI to gauge interest of suppliers to provide managed learning services for the Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS) Learning and Development Program. Training courses cover a range of topics, including SHS induction training, leadership skills, Aboriginal cultural competency, case management, trauma informed care, mental health, domestic and family violence, drug and alcohol abuse, child protection, and youth homelessness as well as courses for managers and emerging leaders. This program was established in 2018 and is fundamental in the delivery of high-quality services to people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
Scope
The three key elements required for the delivery of the managed learning services for the SHS Learning and Development Program includes:
a) Provision of an online portal to enable staff to book/waitlist training (e.g. Event Management System).
b) Subcontracting and management of training providers for delivery of DCJ approved SHS training.
c) Full administration support in delivering both virtual and face-to-face trainings, including but not limited to venue booking, cancellations, reporting, training logistics fulfilment.
