Project goals

Council is seeking Tenders from suitably qualified and experienced Tenderers for the provision of a turn-key advertising funded bus shelter program.

Council’s goals from this Request is to have:

  • each existing bus shelter in the City replaced with a brand new bus shelter that is DDA and AS1428 compliant;
  • each existing bus stop site where there is a shelter made fully DDA compliant and in accordance with Council standards; 
  • ·each bus shelter to be powered, glazed, routinely cleaned and maintained, with speedy incident responses;
  • consistency of shelter design across the City; 
  • a commercial return to Council linked to advertising revenue generated; and
  • pricing for the supply, installation, cleaning and servicing of new non-advertising bus shelters.
