Project goals
Key Priorities: Deliver end-to-end project management, including design, migration, and decommissioning, tailored to NSWTA needs. Collaborate with the current network supplier to rebuild their cluster. Provide a high-level VMware vSphere/Nutanix AHV design, Bill of Materials, and project management aligned with best practices. Replace outdated HCI hardware, migrate workloads seamlessly, and enhance network reliability. Safely decommission hardware, provide training, and submit a UAT design with a timeline and materials.
Unique Aspects: Suppliers must be certified by Cisco, Nutanix, Veeam, and VMware. NSWTA prioritizes value for money, quality, and expertise under NSW ICT Services Scheme 0020.
Scope
The scope includes replacing end-of-life hardware, migrating workloads, and enhancing network performance while minimizing disruption to communications. Proposals must include a high-level VMware vSphere ESXi and Nutanix AHV design, a comprehensive Bill of Materials, and detailed project management plans covering design, implementation, migration, and decommissioning. Additional priorities include secure decommissioning of hardware, training for NSWTA staff, and developing a UAT environment with Nutanix AHV and VMware vSphere infrastructure. Suppliers must detail their migration approach, integration with NSWTA’s business-critical application vendor, and provide pricing on a time-and-materials basis. Certified suppliers for Cisco, Nutanix, Veeam, and VMware are required, with a focus on delivering quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness while adhering to NSW Government procurement standards.
