The code documents a minimum set of expectations and behaviours when doing business with the NSW Government

The NSW Government Supplier Code of Conduct applies to suppliers across goods and services and construction procurement.

Clusters and agencies can build upon the code to incorporate additional requirements where appropriate.

The code has been written in plain English and avoids the use of legalese/officialese and references to acts, legislation or policy.

Action required

NSW Government agencies are required to update references to supplier conduct to reflect the new code, including RFx and contract templates.

References to the previous Code of Practice for Procurement (2005) must be removed.

NSW Procurement is currently updating whole-of-government procurement templates. Updated templates will be available on this site.

For more information, contact the NSW Procurement Service Centre on nswbuy@treasury.nsw.gov.au or 1800 679 289.
