Small and medium enterprise engagement reporting
When suppliers tender for goods and services contracts (excluding construction) valued over $3 million, agency buyers must ask them to include in their response how they will commit to:
- supporting the government’s sustainability, economic, ethical, environmental and social priorities
- working with small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to deliver the contract.
Agency buyers must incorporate the supplier’s commitments into their contracts and make sure their suppliers comply.
Agencies can use an interim reporting tool for reporting on supplier compliance. An online reporting tool is being developed.
Suppliers must report against their contracted commitments, including a monthly report on the SMEs involved in delivering the contract. An interim reporting tool is available.
It’s up to NSW Government agencies to ensure suppliers meet their reporting obligations and monitor compliance as part of contract management activities.
